My Approach

Are you ready to discover a deeper understanding of yourself?

I guide clients beyond the day-to-day interactions to explore the inner workings of the psyche and identify the underlying root of their distress. Instead of treating the symptoms, I aim to identify the cause. This invites the potential for deep inner healing and lasting change. Together, we shine a light on the parts that have been hidden or fragmented and facilitate re-integration to become more whole.

The focus of sessions may vary from personal wounding to the broader reaching implications of intergenerational, societal, cultural, and environmental crises. My holistic approach is threefold - somatic practices and nervous system regulation create the foundation, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness support mental clarity, while Jungian analysis invites sustained transformation.

Clients are invited to engage in the following methodologies:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • somatic experiencing and emotional processing

  • mindfulness and visualization

  • transpersonal, depth psychology, & dream analysis

  • narrative therapy

  • nature immersion

  • creative arts & play therapy

In my clinical experience, two underlying themes are commonly at the core of most mental discomfort - fear and grief. When left unaddressed, they often manifest as anxiety and depression which we treat through symptom management. However, I believe these experiences can be transformed, or alchemized, into strengths if we turn towards them. The only way out is through, and the only way through is together.

Grief is complex and cyclical. It comes in many forms whether from the death of a loved one, what we needed and didn't receive, the end of a meaningful relationship, or the years spent masking your authentic self. I help clients witness and honor their grief with compassion and reverence. My approach is gentle yet persistent.

Who you are in the process of becoming?

Nature, spirituality, and altered states of consciousness can be incredible sources of wisdom, resilience, and belonging. As a trained death doula, I also guide end-of-life planning and support clients experiencing death anxiety or other spiritual concerns.

About Me

I began my career in environmental activism; working alongside communities advocating for healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. I also recognized the dire nature of our predicament and the severe impact it had on the mental health of myself and fellow activists, especially youth. This inspired me to complete a psychology graduate program where I explored therapy from existential, systemic, intergenerational, humanistic, and holistic perspectives. Rather than focusing on diagnosing and prescribing, I strive to offer clients a uniquely individual and empowering experience.

Spending time in nature has been my most reliable and powerful form of therapy. This is why I offer clients the option to conduct our sessions outdoors, benefiting from the natural healing and nervous system regulation that nature provides. I have also gained many incredible insights from books and films. Bibliotherapy, poetry in particular, has been a source of comfort and strength throughout my own healing journey. Some of my favorite books are featured in the resources tab.
